Ecofeminism - Women loves Nature
Ecofeminism is a branch of feminism that sees environmentalism and the relationship between women and the earth.
Ecofeminist analysis explores the connections between women and nature in culture, religion, literature and addresses the parallels between the oppression of nature and the oppression of women.
Women and nature share a powerful moral connection :
Environment can be only be improved by changing our value systems.
Ecofeminism highlights values like co operation, caring and sustainability.
THREE SCHOOLS OF ECOFEMINISM THOUGHT:
CULTURAL FEMINISM:It believes that women based on their power of procreation and caring have special and deeper relationship with nature.
SOCIAL ECOFEMINISM:It believes Women 's links with nature are shaped entirely by social and material factors like Education and Economic status.
SOCIALIST ECOFEMINIST:It state that the connections between women and nature are based both on biological factors and social facts.
The Envirnomentalist says that moral knowledge and ,ethical sensibility and a sense of connection can often precede rational understanding.
In my book 'Feminism and Ecological Communities',I develop the idea of dynamic charm that the living world has a quality which we can appreciate.
